4. Mystic Aquarium has 32 African Penguins. There are only tens of thousands left in the world today. In the 1900s there used to be millions of penguins. They were lost over plastics, oil spills and people fishing for the penguin's food. South Africa needs baby penguins from Mystic. Mystic takes baby penguins  to South Africa to help their population of penguins grow. They collect penguin poop to find out if the penguins are healthy. There are 7 different species of turtles, 6 of them are endangered. There are 6 turtles right now in Mystic that were caught in Massachusetts. They had a cold stump and they were picked up. They are always released after they heal.

5.Different season changes are ok for the animals except the African penguin.

6. Mystic aquarium closed from March 17th until the end of April. The beluga whales at Mystic needed workers to come see them because they missed people every day. . The masks scared the whales and the sea lions. Beluga whales can get Covid because they have the same sensors we do.

What I have Learned

I have learned a lot of information on endangered marine species.  I hope some day when Covid is over I will be able to meet the people I talked to in-person. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me with this blog. I believe the best way to thank everyone who has helped me is to get the message out to the world. I hope someday when I am older we will have decreased the number of endangered marine species by thousands.
